How the remodeling process is structured.

Home remodeling will be an emotional roller coaster, even with the best and most organized remodeler

Every remodel is a unique set of problem-solving activities, as opposed to new building, where the exact same process may be performed on every home. Every house is unique.

Small, one-trade projects like constructing a deck or replacing windows don’t cause a lot of concern. They only use one crew, and the majority of the work is done outside, so your home doesn’t seem like it has been turned inside out and violently rattled.

Should Stay or Not ?

When may you stay in your house during construction and when should you leave?

You ought to leave for your own peace of mind:
when the project takes up more than half of the house’s internal space.
when the project calls for turning off the water or the electricity for longer than a couple of days.
whenever new wood floors, in particular, are installed throughout the house.
when a member or members suffer allergies, asthma, COPD, or other respiratory sensitivities. There will be paint fumes and dust.
when only one bathroom is present and it is being completely renovated as part of the project.

If the project takes place on one side of the home only, and the Work Zone can be isolated with plastic walls, then you can live there while work is going on.
